The Lie of Separation of Church and State

Separation of Church and State

We hear this phrase being thrown around frequently today in the USA.

Especially by atheists who want to sanitize all public domains of Christianity.

They want “God” removed from our money (“in God we trust”)

They want “God” removed from our pledge of allegiance.

They want to ban prayers in schools or on school grounds,
including at sporting events or graduation

To atheists “separation of church and state” means
eliminating all references to Christianity from all public realms.

And that is exactly the opposite of what our founding fathers meant
when they wrote the The First Amendment to the Constitution saying:

“Congress shall make no law
respecting an establishment of religion
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”

No where does it use the phrase “separation of Church and State”

The First Amendment says the government cannot establish a religion,
and Christianity was not established by the government.

It also says the government can’t prohibit the free exercise of religion---

Which we seem to be violating whenever we cave to atheist organizations

And we agree to prohibit prayer in public places

Or ban religious displays of the nativity or 10 Commandments in public places.

Who benefits from denying a simple prayer?

No one.

Who benefits from hearing a simple prayer?

Maybe not everyone, but more than the atheist could understand

And it might even touch the heart of that atheist.

Why do non-believers become so aggressively passionate on this topic?

Why do they refuse to be open to the possibilities?

What are they so afraid of?

  1. Beautiful post. Nice touch on the rhetoric question. I have never heard of the words before, so that's news to me!
