Blind Faith

One of the mis-understandings of Christianity

By both Christians and non-Christians alike

is that we are supposed to have "Blind Faith"

We are called to Believe in all the Bible tells us without question.

This is Wrong.

No where in the Bible are we called to have Blind Faith.

For that would not be a True Faith.

Before we have Faith in anything or anyone,

We test it.

(The Bible even calls for us to Test it in 1 John 4:1)

We question it

And when we find it to be True, then we have Faith in it.

Before you have Faith that you can jump from a cliff and dive into the ocean
(Should you be so inclined)

You will learn about it, is the water deep enough?  Is it too rocky?

Once you find it to be true, to be deep enough, clear enough, then you have Faith and you make the leap.

Same with Christianity,

 Test those waters.

Is the Word Deep enough?
(does it cover all things, does it describe the true nature of man and God?)

Is it clear enough?
(Is there reasonable evidence to believe what is written in True?)

Do the research and you will find it to be so.

Then you know you can have Faith.

Not Blind Faith

But a true Faith.

In the God who loves us,

and calls on us to love Him.
