I hope you find it interesting and will participate with me~
You will only need a Bible and your open heart and mind!
(If you don't have a Bible, you can go to Bible Gateway to look up a verse)

I want to begin with an overview of what the Bible is:

Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth

That's really what the Bible is, an instruction manual.

It tells us how we should live our lives and warns us of the dangers of this world.

The Bible is a collection of writings, it includes:

Historical documents
Stories
Genealogies
Poems
Letters
Prophecies

The Bible is not in Chronological Order.

Job is thought to be the oldest book.

Genesis through Deuteronomy (the Torah) were written
by Moses around 1440 BC

Then came Psalms / Joshua around 1400 BC
Around 900 BC Proverbs and Samuel were written.

From 800-400 BC were various books written by Prophets.

James is thought to have been written in 45 AD

Galatians in 50 AD
Matt and Mark are also written around 50 AD
Pauls Letters were written around 55 AD

and Revelation was written about 95 AD

That is a lot of different authors over a very long period of time!
And yet there is a continuity, a continual theme throughout all these writings.

A theme of redemption and grace, of forgiveness and love

Hear this 11 year old show us Jesus in every Book of the Bible:

And when  you really get into things, you will find these ancient thoughts and ideas are still applicable to us today!!

It is this unity of theme and timeliness that leads us to believe that the Bible is the Inspired Word of God.

Why is this Important?

Read these Bible verses and you will see:

Joshua 1:8
Matthew 4:4
Romans 15:4
John 8: 31-31
Proverbs 4:20-22
Psalms 119:11

Please share your thoughts in the comment section below!

Thanks and
